ENROLMENT INTERVIEWS
2011 (for new students joining the school next year)
Further student enrolment interviews for our 2011 intake will take place later this year. If you are living within our zone and have a child that you wish to enrol at AJHS for 2011 please contact the School Office on 415 5473. The Office will take your details and contact you when the next interview day has been set.

Out of Zone Enrolments
The Board invites applications from parents who wish
to enrol their sons and daughters at Albany Junior High for next year. Enrolment at the school is governed by an
enrolment scheme, details of which are available from the school office.
Parents
of students who are out of zone and
wish to apply should contact the school office on 415 5473 for an application
form. Please ensure that you state the
application is for an out of zone student.
Once completed, the form should be returned to the school office by the deadline of 4.00pm on Wednesday 1st
September 2010. Parents of students
who live within the home zone should also apply by this date to assist the
school to plan appropriately for next year. Students who live in the home zone are
entitled to enrol at the school.
The Board has determined that it is likely that there
will be places available for out of zone students next year. However, the number of places will depend on
the number of applications received from students who live within the school's
home zone. Written applications from out
of zone students, will be processed in the following order of priority:

First priority will be given to students
who have been accepted for enrolment in an approved special programme. This
priority category is not applicable at our school.
·
Second priority will be given to
applicants who are siblings of current students.
·
Third priority will be given to
applicants who are siblings of former students.
·
Fourth priority will be given to
applicants who are children of board employees.
·
Fifth priority will be given to all
other applicants.
If the number of out of zone applications exceeds the number of places
available, students will be selected by ballot.
If a ballot is required it will be held on Monday 6th September
2010. Parents will be informed of the
outcome of the ballot within three school days of the ballot being held.
For Students Wishing to Start at AJHS in 2010
Enrolment interviews are by appointment only. Please email or telephone the school office - 415 5473 to arrange an appointment. (Please note if you wish to enrol a student for our 2011 intake, further information will be posted on our website later in the year). You must be living within our school zone before an interview can be arranged. Once you have arranged an interview please:
- Collect an Enrolment Pack from the school office
- OR request one is sent to you
- OR obtain one when you come for your interview - please arrive 10 minutes early for your interview to complete all paperwork required.
Your child will be required to attend the Enrolment Interview. Acceptance of enrolment at this school does not imply that a student will have a greater right than any other student to enrol at any other school in the future. Future enrolment at another school, such as the Senior High School nearby, will be governed by the enrolment scheme current at the time a student seeks to enrol.
