This week was ‘Vaiaso o le Gagana Samoa – Samoan Language Week.’ The theme was ‘Ia Malu lou sa, Folau i lagima’ – A well grounded self is a successful self. 

We have a small and amazing Pasifika group this year, and our students enjoy practicing each week to learn dances from our different cultures. We performed with our girls at Ruru Whanau Assembly this morning and hope to continue to share our cultural dances at the other Whanau and school assemblies this year.

We look forward to the next Pasifika Language Weeks in term 3.
