On Monday, 22 Year 9 Environmental Science students walked from AJHS to Rosedale Park to plant native trees.
The scheme has been funded as part of New Zealand’s response to climate change.
During their visit the students planted 200 native trees and shrubs.
This year AJHS Environmental Science students have planted 400 natives on the Rosedale Park site. By the end of 2025 it is estimated that 4000 trees will have been added to the environment to help remove carbon dioxide from our atmosphere.
Well done Year 9 Environmental Science students on making a difference.
