Our Whanau ki te Ako (Albany Senior High School and our feeder primary schools), have organised a learning event for parents and caregivers on ‘Emotional Regulation and the Key to Learning and Relationships’. Students are welcome to accompany their families too.

The session will cover:

  • What is stress? What is trauma?

  • How does it impact young people?

  • What is the neuroscience of emotional regulation?

  • How can we support the development of emotional regulation at home and school?

The session will be presented by Tami Harris from Acorn Neurodiversity.
