On the final day of Term 1, students and staff were treated to a lively lunchtime concert held just outside the Performing Arts Centre. The event featured performances from three student bands who showcased the songs they’ve been working on this term.
Full Stop kicked things off with a high-energy rendition of Sk8er Boi, followed by Jukebox 84 performing a heartfelt version of Wherever You Will Go. Rounding out the concert, Pepper X brought the crowd to life with their take on Mr Brightside. It was a fantastic way to end the term, celebrating the hard work and talent of our young musicians. A big thank you to Gareth Kendon who runs our fantastic rock band programme.
Meanwhile in the performance space, musicians and singers got together for a shared lunch. They took turns singing songs, playing the piano, and some students even played original pieces! Some songs performed included: I See the Light (from Tangled), Only Hope by Mandy Moore, Die With a Smile by Bruno Mars and Lady Gaga was also dueted. A big thank you to Cindy Pardo for organizing the event and for teaching the students.
