We are delighted to share the news that Earl Legasto and Lucy Singleton were announced as runners-up in the National Play It Strange Lion Foundation Songwriting Competition, with their original song “leaving without saying goodbye.” 

This competition is open to songwriters from Year 9 – 13 from across the country, and the judges selected from over 400 entries, so we are very proud of Earl and Lucy’s success. 

AJHS alumnus Kenzy Waters was also named as a finalist. The prize is a day in a recording studio to professionally record, mix and master their song, which will feature on the Play It Strange 2024 compilation album. Congratulations Lucy and Earl.
