One step, two step, on we go,

Through the rain, the wind crouched low.

Inching on, plodding through the snow,

Again and again and again.

Stumble, trip, fall far, far back,

Yet we march along the beaten track.

Keep going forward, no stop, no slack,

Again and again and again.

Howling wind, ceaseless resistance,

We endure, climb closer, closing the distance.

Relentless, ongoing, full of persistence,

Again and again and again.

Time is our prison, seeming endless, although,

The end will soon come, so still on and on we go.
