This week AJHS hosted the Ministry of Education Science Roadshow in our PAC.

All Year 8 students attended one of the sessions, and had the opportunity to watch science demonstrators in two interactive shows, which are linked to our New Zealand Science curriculum.

The students also had time to move around the exhibits and try some science experiments for themselves. Many fascinating questions were answered, such as:

How does a toilet work?

How can a gyroscope be used to steer a helicopter?

What gives an aircraft wing lift?

What is a black hole?

And how much poo does a person produce in a year!?
