PTA (Parent Teacher Association)
The AJHS Parent Teacher Association (PTA) has been established to create more opportunities for our AJHS students while creating a strong culture of inclusion and community spirit.
The core role of the PTA is three-fold;
- To provide fun social activities for students and parents
- To build connections within our school, strengthening the relationship and communication between school life and home life
- To fundraise for improved facilities and educational opportunities
PTA activities include:
- Quiz nights
- Gala days
- New families afternoon teas
- Colour runs
- Golf days
Contributions in the last 12 months include:
- Fixing and reopening the playground: $10,000
- Whare Wananga building: $10,000
- Hockey Goal: $4,000
- Headsets for Learning Support: $100
- PAC bespoke curtain rail $2,125
- Books for Library $400
Join the PTA
We always need parents and caregivers to join our PTA. There is no ongoing commitment and you can opt out at any time. Meetings are held once or twice a term, with WhatsApp communications keeping things moving in the interim.
